Training troops

training troops

To train troops, click on your Garrison and select ‘Train Troops’. From here, choose the type of troops you want to train. There are many popular types of troops, such as Longbowman, Battle Dragons, Giants and Armored Transports.

After clicking on the troop type, a screen will appear listing the requirements to train this particular troop. You will also see the maximum number of troops you can train, which indicates the amount your City can currently support. Additionally, this page will list a description of how these troops perform in battle, and provide information on the food resources needed for their upkeep.

Please note that a low number of Idle Population is a common reason people are prevented from troop training. Rest assured, it is very easy to raise your Idle Population.

You do not need to wait for one group of troops to finish training before you begin training more troops, because there is a troop training queue. You can queue up as many additional groups of troops to train as the number of Garrisons in your City.

longbow, fire mirrors, fangtooths, and lava jaws are ranged. The rest are melee. All the great dragons count as ranged as well, obviously.

For the most part, Flying or Foot are best used separately. The exception is the Great Dragon and Elemental Dragons. They work best with ranged foot troops, and work poorly with BD/SSD/Banshee.

LBMs should work with any dragon(Great Dragon and elemental) besides the wind dragon, which works well with banshees

As far as Army size goes, more is always better. If you go all out with 1 lvl 10 farm and 37 lvl 9 farms; 10 lvl 10 food wilds; lvl 10 agriculture; and harvest nanos 25% bonus then your natural production will be around 1.5mil max.

10k Minos 70,000 f/h
20k Bowmen 180,000 f/h
35k BDs 1,225,000 f/h

After that youll have to start stockpiling food for the loss youll be taking each hour.
